From this moment the history of our company began, which currently has a name – Donelektroavtotrans, a municipal enterprise of the Donetsk city administration.

Today it is the largest carrier of passengers in Donetsk. In addition, our types of transport are the most environmentally friendly, because they are powered by electricity and do not harm the environment by harmful emissions. This is very relevant in a densely populated city with lots of mines, factories and plants.

On the balance of KP “Donelektroavtotrans” is in two-wire terms 183 km of trolleybus lines, 117 km of tram lines, 89 km of cable network, 130 km of tram tracks, which require daily maintenance. The rolling stock of the company serves 9 tram, 11 trolleybus and 8 bus routes. The average daily production of rolling stock for the city’s routes is 120 trolleybuses, 85 trams and 24 large capacity buses.

About 22 privileged categories of citizens are transported free of charge. The fare for the remaining passengers is 3 Russian rubles. The company could increase the average daily production of trams and trolley buses, however, there is currently an acute shortage of skilled drivers and workers. In 2014,

Unfortunately, I can not say the same about trolleybus routes.

In 2016, our specialists restored the contact network and operation of trolleybus routes No. 5, “Panfilova Ave. – Kuprin St.”, No. 21, “ul. Puhova – Broad Microdistrict “, which were forced to cease to exist in 2014-2015. Also, it was worthwhile to restore the contact network of the trolleybus route No. 10 “Winter Kholodokombinat” –

Time machines at the tram depot Yuri Dmitrievich offers an excursion to the Donetsk wagon depot to get acquainted with retro trams. The ancestor of this tram is right there in the depot – the same car opened traffic in Donetsk back in 1928. The cab is decorated with wrought lanterns, but there are no glasses at all! The only windshield in the cab appeared much later to protect the driver from rain and snow.

Also, there are no composters in the tram at all, which is explained simply – then there were a conductor. Probably Bulgakov’s colleague of our tram once slaughtered Berlioz on the Patriarch’s.

But ours was not involved in this. On the contrary, this tram more often saw happy and joyful faces. After all, the retro tram can be ordered to celebrate a wedding or birthday.
